since it's formation in 2191, the world of utopia has been in peace. or at least, that's what they want you to think.
the rumors of a rebellion cropped up six years after its opening. people began to disappear, allegedly to join said rebellion. the government was quick to put these rumors to rest, assuring everyone that there was no such thing as a world outside of utopia. utopia was perfection, and perfection was all there was in the world. all too willingly, the people forgot, and the city was peaceful.
but there was that rumored attempt on the mayor's life, and that strange glimmer of a thought that the guilty were banned from utopia forever...
that can't be true. can it? it's got to be as much a rumor as the idea that the government is corrupt, that they released humanoid experiments into the world to spy on the citizens, to kill those of the rebellion, to make things 'perfect.' because if that's true... then where will everybody turn? if they joined the rebellion, got their wish, and utopia fell, then what? how would they survive without the safety of a perfect world?
some say it's as easy as learning to breathe, but after years of living with every heartbeat monitored, it can't be that easy... can it?
